Availability of FSIS Compliance Guidelines for Allergen Management and Labeling

Abstract: The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is announcing the availability of compliance guidelines to assist establishments in identifying hazards with respect to allergens and other ingredients of public health concern. These guidelines represent the best practice recommendations by FSIS, based on scientific and practical considerations. By following these guidelines, establishments are likely to ensure that product labels declare all ingredients and do not contain undeclared allergens or other undeclared ingredients.
