Threatened Status for Lesser Prairie-Chicken

Abstract: We will make a listing determination for the lesser prairie-chicken (Tympanuchus pallidicinctus) pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. The lesser prairie-chicken inhabits short-grass and mixed-grass prairies in portions of southeastern Colorado, southwestern Kansas, western Oklahoma, the Texas panhandle, and eastern New Mexico.
