Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Status Review (12-Month Finding) on a Petition and Proposed Listing of 4 foreign parrot species in Fiji, Indonesia, East Timor, and the Philippines as Endangered Throughout Their Range

Abstract: We are making a final determination on whether to list the Philippine cockatoo (Cacatua haematuropygia) and the yellow-crested cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea) as endangered, and the white cockatoo as threatened, under the ESA. We also are making a determination on whether to finalize a special rule for the white cockatoo. The Philippine cockatoo is endemic to the Philippines, whereas the yellow-crested and white cockatoos are endemic to Indonesia. We determined in our earlier status review that the crimson shining parrot (Prosopeia splendens), endemic to Fiji, did not warrant listing under the ESA.
